Where do I stay? If you still need lodging, call Brett or Margaret right away!

What’s the “Big House” like? It’s an old, “shabby-chic,” country lodge with 20 guest rooms and 8 bathrooms. All the bedrooms are up on the 2nd or 3rd floor. There’s an auditorium (with costumes!), where we’ll be eating, and a huge kitchen for cooking or keeping snacks/drinks. The main floor also features two comfortable living rooms and a ping-pong table. Outside, you can enjoy the lawn, the tennis/basketball court, the volleyball court, or the pond. If that tires you out, park your butt on the porch and enjoy the view!

What should I bring? Pack whatever you’d bring to a bed & breakfast with shared bathrooms. To contribute to the fun, bring indoor/outdoor games, booze, or snacks to share. (We might even ask you to bring something specific!) Definitely pack hiking boots, sneakers, and any other “outdoorsy” or “sporty” apparel. If you’re staying at the house, bring snacks and bevs to share! (Thanks!)

Can I hang out at the Big House even if I don’t stay there? Of course!

What’s the parking situation? There’s plenty of parking down the hill from the Big House. Make a left after the green Dumpster on Cruikshank Road, and follow the narrow, twisty lane until you get to a big field. There is no parking on the house driveway.

What will the wedding be like? How should I dress? Weather permitting, we’ll say our vows on the lawn. If it rains, we’ll be in the auditorium. It won’t be a long ceremony (about 30 mins). Dinner will be a buffet, with assigned tables, but you can sit on the lawn or the porch if you like! Dress for a daytime garden party—a little bit fancy. We’re thinking sandals and frocks, shirts and bow-ties. Vests, maybe? Suspenders? Hipster/Gatsby, comfortable but celebratory. And all totally optional (well, clothing of some kind is required). Does that make sense?
